The 2021 Scottish Parliament election is only 6 months away. On the 6th May 2021 people in Scotland will have the opportunity to vote and influence how Scotland is governed for the following 4 years.

While the ongoing Covid 19 pandemic and the resulting economic and public health crises may be in the forefront of many people’s minds, the climate crisis is still a real and pressing issue. Many of us make daily choices to reduce our carbon footprint - but to achieve the kind of change needed to protect our planet, governments of all levels will need to take action.

Right now Scotland’s political parties are busy deciding their election priorities and writing their manifestos. We (2050 Climate Group’s Policy subgroup) want to find out what young people in Scotland’s election priorities are. We have prepared a quick questionnaire to find out exactly that. The results of the survey will be shared with all the political parties currently represented in the Scottish Parliament, and used to better help us push for your concerns to be addressed.

All our policy work is directly shaped by the views of young people. Over the coming weeks 2050 Climate Group will survey members of our Leaders Network and other young people in Scotland on their climate-change priorities in the upcoming Scottish Parliament election. We welcome contributions from all young people living in all areas of Scotland.

The form will close for submissions at 8pm on the 14th of November 2020.
